Job Description
Position Summary
The Operations Excellence Manager (WMS / Data) leads systems, data, reporting, and technology initiatives across TA Services' warehouse operations. This role drives standardization, process improvement, automation, and technology implementation to support current business needs and future growth.
Days and Shift Information
- Full-time, Monday through Friday.
- Standard business hours, with flexibility to support operational needs, project implementations, and site requirements.
- Travel between warehouse locations may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence & Technology Strategy: Develop and execute strategies that improve warehouse operations through WMS optimization, warehouse automation, JotForms, system enhancements, and new site implementations. Partner with Corporate IT and the PMO to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, sustainable, and aligned with business objectives.
- Systems, Data & Reporting: Standardize dashboards, reporting, data mappings, and systems across warehouse locations. Drive reporting automation, maintain comprehensive system documentation and work instructions, provide database power-user support in partnership with IT/Data, and lead JotForms planning and development.
- Project Management & Continuous Improvement: Lead cross-site technology and process improvement initiatives, including WMS configuration, new implementations, and workflow optimization. Own cost-saving initiatives at SILC and Janesville, evaluate emerging technologies, and establish project tracking and accountability measures to deliver measurable results.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Resource Optimization: Coordinate with warehouse leadership, Corporate IT, PMO, HSE, Quality, Inventory, and other business partners to align priorities, secure appropriate reviews and approvals, and ensure consistent processes across sites. Optimize shared resources across locations and customer accounts while maintaining transparency and accountability for customer-funded resources.
- People Development & Cultural Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop direct and indirect team members through clear expectations, performance feedback, cross-training, and career development opportunities. Work Environment
- Work is primarily performed in an office setting, with regular engagement with warehouse operations and site leadership.
- Requires collaboration with multiple warehouse locations, Corporate IT, the PMO, and other cross-functional departments.
- May require travel to warehouse sites and occasional flexibility to support implementations, operational needs, and time-sensitive projects.
- Must be comfortable balancing multiple projects, shifting priorities, and resource constraints in a fast-paced operational environment.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree.
Experience
- Strong knowledge in operational excellence, warehouse systems, data analytics, technology implementation, project management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), warehouse processes, systems configuration, or implementation support.
- Experience developing dashboards, reporting solutions, data structures, and automated reporting processes.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects, implementing process improvements, and driving measurable operational or cost-saving results.
- Familiarity with database concepts, data mapping, system integrations, and collaboration with IT or data teams.
- Experience with JotForms or similar workflow and form-building platforms preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and business intelligence or reporting tools. Experience with Power BI, SQL, or comparable data and analytics platforms is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, allocate resources effectively, and communicate technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.

- Competitive annual salary based on experience and qualifications.
