Job Description

The Traffic and Logistics Admin serves as a critical operational hub for our distribution and logistics operations. This position coordinates the seamless movement of loads across multiple facilities by managing driver dispatch, scheduling, facility check-ins, load tracking, documentation, and communication with internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Days and Shift Information

  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
  • Monday–Friday, with additional hours or weekends as business needs require.
  • $17.75/hour + $3.00/hour 2ND SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL

Key Responsibilities

  • Traffic & Driver Coordination: Coordinate driver dispatch, appointments, facility check-in/check-out, door assignments, and daily truck activity to support efficient traffic flow and minimize detention charges.
  • Load Scheduling & Tracking: Monitor loads, track on-time pickups, schedule loads through the Uber portal, and communicate load status with internal teams and external transportation partners.
  • Documentation & Records: Maintain accurate driver logs, inbound/outbound paperwork, PODs, OS&D documentation, and historical records while ensuring information is properly scanned and filed.
  • Yard, Trailer & Dock Management: Monitor Warehouse and Pegasus trailer/yard status, manage gate activity, assist with Surgere portal setup, and perform dock audits to ensure accurate lane assignments.
  • Operational Support & Communication: Respond to tracking and shipping inquiries, coordinate with warehouse and quality teams, assist with supply and PO needs, and support daily logistics operations across the facility.

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced warehouse and logistics environment with frequent interaction with drivers, carriers, warehouse personnel, and internal teams.
  • Combination of office/administrative work and activity in warehouse, dock, gate, and yard areas.
  • Requires strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a time-sensitive environment.

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience

  • Previous experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, dispatch, traffic coordination, or an administrative role preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Advanced proficiency with Windows-based applications.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use transportation, scheduling, yard management, and logistics systems.
  • Familiarity with driver check-in/check-out processes, load tracking, or transportation documentation preferred.
  • English language proficiency at a B2+ level required.

Additional Information

Pay/Benefits/Perks

  • $17.75 per hour + $3.00/hour 2ND SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL
  • Accrue up to five days PTO in first year. Two-weeks vacation, plus one week PTO accrue on first anniversary.
