Job Description

• Lead a centralised and integrated contract and commercial portfolio across Group Security and Facilitation
• Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver strategic sourcing, supplier performance and long-term commercial outcomes.
• Drive innovation through major tenders, commercial negotiations and AI-enabled solution

At Qantas, safety and security are at the heart of everything we do. As Manager Commercial & Strategy, you will develop, define, lead and implement the commercial strategy for Group Security & Facilitation, overseeing a diverse supplier portfolio spanning aviation security services, technology, infrastructure and security equipment. You will be accountable for delivering commercial, operational, regulatory and financial outcomes while ensuring contracts and supplier relationships are effectively managed throughout their full lifecycle.

This is a high-impact role that will require you to work closely with senior leaders, operational stakeholders, regulators and industry partners. You will lead strategic sourcing initiatives, complex commercial negotiations and supplier performance programs. You will identify opportunities to drive value, innovation and operational excellence, while supporting the adoption of emerging technologies and AI-enabled solutions to strengthen security capability, compliance and commercial performance.

You'll Have

• 7+ years' experience in commercial, procurement or contract management, with aviation experience essential. Experience working across Security suppliers highly desirable
• Strong understanding of aviation security, regulatory compliance and operational requirements within airport or airline environments.
• Proven success delivering high-value contracts, strategic sourcing initiatives and complex commercial negotiations.
• Experience developing and executing commercial, supplier and category strategies that drive business outcomes.
• Strong capability in supplier performance management, governance and end-to-end contract lifecycle management.
• Experience leading major tenders, business cases, market testing and supplier transition programs.
• Advanced analytical, financial and stakeholder management skills, with a strategic yet hands-on approach to balancing commercial, operational and security priorities
