As a Supplier Relationship Manager, you’ll play a crucial role as the primary contact for our supplier relationships. You will define the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process with our key suppliers using a tiered approach and establish a mutually beneficial set of KPIs.

You will work with suppliers to understand their sustainability profile and support the creation of our inaugural Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report with our Director of Government Affairs. You will work closely with our larger Operations team including Facilities, Production, R&D, Product Development, Logistics and Sales. You will manage both direct and indirect suppliers supporting the entire organization.

You will learn the nuances of this unique and newly formed Quantum supplier ecosystem and help to right size relationships for the future. You will create robust category strategies for both direct and indirect spend, executing tenders when approriate.

Your work will be essential as we scale to increasingly complex systems and deliver on the promise of quantum computing.


What you'll be doing (including but not limited to)

  • Establish Category strategies for both direct and indirect spend.

  • Establish win-win relationships with our current supply base, making sure they know who we are and what we do

  • Be the primary point of contact for supplier issues and resolutions.

  • Establish a well defined SRM program with KPIs that track cost optimization and accountability (OTIF)

  • Own Supplier Assurance activities - working with key stakeholders to understand their needs and establish the 80/20 rule where possible

  • Ensure contract excellence, working with the Legal and Finance team to ensure financial (payment terms) and legal requirements (contract language) are met for all contracts

  • Research and understand Supplier’s profiles for; make vs. buy decisions, development of category strategies and enterprise risk management profiles.

  • Develop E2E supply chain profiles for Tier 1 Suppliers.

  • Establish SOPs for the supplier relationship management function (quarterly meetings, supplier visits, etc.

Your Profile

  • 5-7+ years of experience in formal supplier relationship management for indirect services and direct materials preferably in an advanced manufacturing setting.

  • Self-starter; motivated by working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment as an individual contributor and part of a team

  • Excellent verbal/written communication and negotiating skills (English), detailed oriented and timeline driven

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, supply chain management

  • Strong expertise establishing and measuring metrics for KPIs used in SRM

  • Comfortable with next level supplier management to include supporting Supplier Awards Days, Innovation Days, Sustainability days, etc.

  • Expert in contract negotiation and management and familiarity with GDPR, CRA, GPSR, PLD, NIS2 guidelines and INCO Terms

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effortlessly across functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders
