Advanced Photonic Design Engineer
QuiX Quantum is pioneering advancements in photonic quantum computing, a dynamic and rapidly evolving field. Since our founding in 2019, we have achieved world records in quantum photonic processing. As we continue to expand, we're excited to add a Photonic Design Engineer to our team. This flexible, hybrid position requires a minimum of one day in the office each week and offers work locations in Germany or the Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and simulation of advanced photonic components using tools like Lumerical.
- Oversee PIC layout development in IPKISS, GdsFactory, or similar, ensuring high-quality standards.
- Drive innovation in photonic component design and contribute significantly to the internal PDK development and maintenance.
- Automate and enhance simulation workflows using Python or similar languages.
