Job Description

Job Location - Gurugram/ Noida

We are seeking a Senior BIM Designer - Wet Utilities to join our infrastructure team, focusing on wet utilities projects including water supply, sewerage, stormwater, drainage, irrigation, and associated utility networks.

The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary design team to produce high-quality 3D models and 2D drawings, ensure multidisciplinary coordination, support compliance with project and organizational BIM standards, and provide technical guidance to junior team members. The role contributes to efficient project delivery through accurate digital modelling, design documentation, and collaboration with engineering and project teams.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain BIM models for wet utilities infrastructure projects in accordance with design requirements and approved BIM standards.
2. Prepare detailed design drawings and documentation, including plans, profiles, sections, details, schedules, and coordinated utility layouts.
3. Support project delivery across all stages of design, including concept, preliminary design, detailed design, tender, and construction documentation.
4. Translate engineering calculations, mark-ups, and design intent into coordinated BIM and CAD deliverables.
5. Ensure all outputs are accurate, complete, and issued in line with project program and quality expectations.
6. Coordinate wet utilities design models with other disciplines, including civil, roads, dry utilities, landscape, structures, and architecture.
7. Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews and coordination meetings.
8. Identify, review, and assist in resolving clashes and design conflicts through model coordination and clash detection processes.
9. Support the integration of utility systems within complex infrastructure corridors and project environments.
10. Apply project-specific BIM Execution Plans, standards, naming conventions, templates, and information management protocols.
11. Undertake model reviews and quality checks to ensure compliance with organizational and client requirements.
12. Maintain proper file management, version control, and documentation practices within the Common Data Environment (CDE).
13. Contribute to continuous improvement of BIM standards, workflows, and libraries.
14. Provide technical support and day-to-day guidance to junior BIM designers, technicians, and drafters.
15. Share best practices in BIM modelling, drawing production, and multidisciplinary coordination.
16. Support BIM Leads, Design Leads, and Project Managers in achieving project delivery objectives.
17. Contribute to a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
18. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality management requirements.
19. Support compliance with client, authority, and local infrastructure requirements relevant to wet utilities design.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or ITI Trained Professional with minimum 8 - 10 years of professional experience.
• Relevant technical certification in BIM software or digital design tools is desirable.
• Demonstrated experience in wet utilities infrastructure, including water supply, sewerage, stormwater drainage, and irrigation systems.
• Proven experience in multidisciplinary design coordination for infrastructure or urban development projects.
• Experience supporting the delivery of projects through multiple design stages.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of Navisworks for model coordination and clash detection.
• Familiarity with Revit and BIM collaboration platforms such as BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud is preferred.
• Strong capability in preparing utility layouts, pipe networks, profiles, sections, and coordinated infrastructure drawings.
• Understanding of BIM standards, model development practices, and digital delivery requirements.
• Knowledge of applicable design standards, drafting conventions, and authority submission requirements relevant to the project location.
• Awareness of project delivery processes, quality assurance procedures, and multidisciplinary design environments.
• Self-motivated, team player and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Flexible attitude, in an environment with frequently changing deadlines, and can be relied on to meet deadlines.
• Committed to both work and personal development, with a willingness to widen their experience.
• Good level of written and spoken English.
