Sales Operations Manager
Range is creating AI-powered solutions to eliminate financial complexity for our members. We’re transforming wealth management through the perfect blend of cutting-edge technology and human expertise. We’re obsessed with member experience! We’ve built an integrated platform that tackles the full spectrum of financial needs–investments, taxes, retirement planning, and estate management–all unified in one intuitive system.
Backed by Google's Gradient Ventures, Cathay Innovation, and Scale Venture Partners, we're in hyper-growth mode and looking for exceptional talent to join our starting lineup. Every Ranger at this stage is shaping our culture and way of life—from former CEOs and startup founders to experts from leading hedge funds and tech companies.
If you're ready to build something that truly matters in financial services, bring your talent to Range. Here, you'll make a genuine impact on how people manage their financial lives while working alongside a team that celebrates wins, makes big decisions, and blazes new trails together.
About the role
Sales Operations is the system underneath how Range grows. Our sales team sells a high-consideration purchase in a regulated industry, so the layer beneath them has to be clean, fast, and trustworthy. That layer includes the CRM, routing, forecasting, reporting, call data, and the handoff into membership. Much of it is still being built, and you'll own it.
You'll be Range's first dedicated Sales Operations hire and a strategic business partner to sales leadership. You'll own the rhythm of the business: annual planning, target setting, monthly business reviews, and the weekly forecast. You'll also lead territory planning, capacity planning, and goal setting. You'll need little guidance on how to run sales operations. You're as comfortable building in Salesforce as you are presenting the story behind the numbers to leadership. This is an individual contributor role, not a people-management role. You'll report to the Head of Enablement, so your systems and process work stays closely tied to how our reps are trained and coached. You'll work day to day with sales leadership and regularly with Finance, Compliance and Legal, Marketing, and Engineering.
We're excited to hire this role at Range's Headquarters in McLean, VA. All of our positions follow an in-office schedule Monday through Friday, allowing you to collaborate directly with your team. If you're not currently based in one of these areas but love what you see, let’s discuss relocation as part of your journey to joining us.
What you’ll do with us
Partner with sales leadership to shape and improve Range's go-to-market strategy, and influence decisions at the leadership level
Own the rhythm of the business: annual planning, target setting, monthly business reviews, and the weekly forecast, and keep making each one more effective
Lead capacity planning, goal setting, and own quota / compensation plan administration in partnership with Finance
Own Salesforce end to end and administer the GTM stack: communication, coaching, scheduling, and automation tools
Build the dashboards leadership runs the business on, such as pipeline coverage, stage conversion, cycle time, and win/loss, and explain the story behind the numbers
Design and document the sales process with Enablement so reps actually adopt it, covering stage definitions, routing rules, SLAs, and escalation paths
Find reporting issues and process gaps, then put lasting fixes in place so they don't come back
Drive automation and tooling improvements that you own end to end, including AI-assisted workflows, rather than only contributing to or proposing them
What will set you apart
5+ years of experience in sales operations, revenue operations, or a closely related analytical GTM role, ideally supporting full-cycle sales
Deep, hands-on Salesforce experience: you've built and maintained an org, not just pulled reports from one (Admin certification a plus)
Experience building systems for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, and forecasting, plus running annual planning and business reviews
Strong business and financial acumen, with advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills and comfort in SQL or a BI tool
A track record of designing sales processes that reps actually adopt, and shipping improvements independently with minimal oversight
Clear written and verbal communication, with the confidence to present to senior leadership and bring cross-functional stakeholders into agreement
Curiosity about GenAI and new tools, and an eye for where a solution can scale across the team
FinTech or startup experience a plus
Bachelor's degree
