Job Description

Our Mission

Private markets shape which companies get built and how innovation scales - yet origination still runs on manual workflows and fragmented tools. Raylu is the AI origination engine for private markets, so every investor can see more of the market, qualify faster, and move first.

We're not building generic AI. Raylu is purpose-built for Growth Equity and PE - already powering sourcing for leading funds with:

  • Real-time market maps aligned to your thesis

  • Standardized, enriched company signals and benchmarks

  • Deep contextual research on emerging companies

  • Automated, fund-voice outreach to founders and execs

The Role

We're hiring someone to make Raylu the company private equity investors think of when they think about deal origination.

Your job is to get Raylu in front of the right funds, build credibility with the people who influence their decisions, and turn that access into qualified sales opportunities. You'll build strategic alliances, develop referral and reseller relationships, and own the industry programs that bring prospective customers to Raylu.

That includes deciding which conferences deserve our investment, securing speaking opportunities, hosting executive dinners, and getting our customers' success stories in front of their peers. You'll have room to choose the approach and responsibility for the pipeline it produces.

What You'll Do

Build strategic alliances that bring us customers. Develop relationships with consulting firms, expert networks, fund service providers, industry associations, and other organizations that have trusted relationships with PE decision-makers. Identify where recommending or selling Raylu creates value for their business and their clients.

Turn those relationships into working commercial programs. Structure referral, reseller, and joint selling agreements. Give partners a clear reason to introduce Raylu, help their teams recognize a good prospect, and stay involved until the relationship consistently produces opportunities.

Own our presence in the industry. Decide which conferences to attend or sponsor and where our team should speak. Build a plan for each investment, including who we want to meet, how we'll reach them, and what happens afterward.

Bring the right people together. Create and run executive dinners, roundtables, and smaller gatherings that PE investors want to attend. Build relationships with prospective customers and give existing customers opportunities to introduce us to their peers.

Shape our story and get it heard. Own the content agenda for reaching PE buyers, working with leadership, Marketing, and customers. Turn customer results and useful perspectives on deal sourcing into stories that partners, industry publications, and investor communities want to share. Own how that content reaches prospective customers.

Carry interest through to qualified pipeline. Work closely with Sales on target funds, introductions, and follow-up. Make sure every partner program and event has clear ownership and a path to a substantive sales conversation.

Decide where to invest. Set priorities and budgets, track commercial results, and expand the programs that work. You'll be accountable for the quality and value of the pipeline your programs create, with visibility into how it converts to revenue.

Your First 90 Days

Days 1–30: Learn the product, join sales calls, and speak with customers. Understand who our best buyers listen to, which events they attend, and what prompted them to consider Raylu. Agree on qualified pipeline targets with Sales and leadership, then prioritize the relationships and programs most likely to deliver.

Days 31–60: Open conversations with priority partners and build concrete commercial proposals. Establish the events and content plan, secure initial opportunities, and start inviting the right prospects into conversations with Raylu.

Days 61–90: Launch the first partner programs and industry activities. Show early qualified opportunities, assess their quality with Sales, and use the results to decide where to invest next.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience building strategic alliances, commercial partnerships, or industry programs that produced qualified pipeline and revenue.

  • Familiarity with private equity buyers and the advisors, service providers, and communities they trust. You understand how to earn access to senior investment professionals.

  • A record of originating relationships yourself, negotiating commercial terms, and getting both sides to follow through.

  • Experience running programs such as partner campaigns, executive events, referral channels, or joint selling initiatives.

  • Strong judgment about messaging. You can recognize a compelling customer story and explain why it matters to another fund.

  • The ability to set direction and execute the details yourself, including recruiting dinner guests, preparing a partner pitch, and following up on an introduction.

  • Commercial discipline. You can explain which activities generated opportunities, what those opportunities were worth, and what you changed when a program underperformed.

  • Comfort using AI tools in your day-to-day research, planning, and execution.

Big Bonus Points

  • An existing network in private equity or the businesses that serve it.

  • A background in alliances, business development, or industry marketing at a company selling to investment firms, or a commercial role within a private markets advisory or services business.

Why Join Raylu?

Raylu is already selling to leading private markets funds. You'll have customer results to build on and the opportunity to establish how we reach the rest of the market.

You'll join a small team, work directly with leadership, and own a meaningful part of the company's growth. Success means more of the right PE firms know Raylu, hear about us from people they trust, and become customers.
