Customer Service Agent

Salary: R23 000 – R25 000 per month

Remote Recruitment is hiring a Customer Service Agent for a UK-based employer, fully remote from South Africa. You will own customer queries from first contact to resolution.

Role overview

You will be the friendly voice of a UK business, helping customers by email, chat and phone and solving problems the first time. This is a full-time, 100% remote role for South African talent, working UK hours: 09:00-17:00 UK time (11:00-19:00 SAST).

Key responsibilities

• Answer customer queries by email, chat and phone
• Log and track cases in the helpdesk system
• Resolve issues or escalate with clear notes
• Process orders, returns and account changes
• Share feedback that helps improve the service

What you'll need

• Experience in customer service or support
• Clear, friendly written and spoken English
• Experience with a helpdesk tool such as Zendesk or Freshdesk
• Calm approach when handling complaints
• Able to work 09:00-17:00 UK time (11:00-19:00 SAST)

Nice to have

• Experience with live chat tools
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify
• Previous work with UK customers
