About our Summer Internship Program
RF-SMART's Summer Internship Program gives you real work, real responsibility, and direct access to leaders across the organization. This is a 12-week, full-time experience- not a resume line item, but a launchpad.
As an IT Intern you'll collaborate directly with the Service Delivery Help Desk team.
What You'll Do
Alongside your project work, approximately 5–6 hours each week are built into your schedule for structured development. These two tracks run simultaneously.
Provide, Maintain, and Perform
- First-line technical support to employees across corporate IT systems, including endpoint management, asset management, identity and access, productivity and collaboration, and conference room AV
- Triage and resolve tickets through the ITSM platform
- Knowledge base documentation
- Onboarding, offboarding, and equipment provisioning workflows
- Identity and access management tasks including user account lifecycle and password resets
- Provisions and deployment of end-user equipment; support conference room setup
- Escalation of complex issues to senior team members while building independent diagnostic skills
- Technical work under close supervision while building hands-on fluency across the platform stack
Grow and Connect:
- Participate in training on the use of IT tools and applications
- Discover your natural talents through a CliftonStrengths assessment
- Develop presentation skills, communication, and professional presence through workshop
- Collaborate on a group innovation project that spans the full 12 weeks
- Hear directly from RF-SMART leaders in our Meet the Leader series—interactive sessions covering career paths, industry insights, and real advice
- Build your network at our intern alumni panel and networking mixer
- Participate in volunteer events, National Intern Day, and company-wide activities
- Access LinkedIn Learning throughout the summer
What You Bring:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Technical expertise
- An end user-focused approach
- Currently enrolled in a degree program at the time of the internship
- Considered a Junior or Senior by credit hours
- Available to work 40 hours per week in-office
- Eligible to work in the United States for any employer without future sponsorship
