Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and effective Loading Dock Associate/Porter to join our team at a luxury high-rise condominium. In this role, you will contribute to maintaining a well-kept property and provide exceptional service to our residents. Key responsibilities include package intake and organization, monitoring vendors and contractors, and ensuring the dock area is clean and well-managed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operations of the dock area, ensuring smooth and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Maintain the dock area in a clean and organized condition, addressing any spills or hazards promptly.
- Ensure proper use and cleanliness of the dumpster and trash shoot areas, managing waste disposal effectively.
- Greet and assist contractors and vendors, inspecting their work and ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Manage the intake of packages, ensuring they are sorted and organized correctly for efficient distribution.
- Provide support for maintenance tasks as needed, addressing minor repairs and assisting maintenance personnel with larger issues.
- Execute a variety of cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs, and window cleaning. Perform additional tasks like restroom cleaning and floor care as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One to two years of previous custodial experience preferred.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions.
- Ability to work weekends as required.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds following appropriate safety procedures.
