Job Description

About Runlayer

AI is transforming how every company operates, but most enterprises are stuck. They want to move fast with AI Agents, tools, and workflows, but they can't do it safely. We're fixing that.

Our team built AI Actions for OpenAI, shipped Zapier Agents to millions of users, and launched the first remote MCP server with Anthropic. We helped establish the protocol, and now we're building the platform enterprises need to actually put AI to work.

Runlayer is one platform for MCPs, Skills, and Agents: purpose-built security, fine-grained governance, and complete observability so organizations can go all-in on AI across the entire company without the risk. We just raised a $30M Series A led by Felicis, with participation from Khosla Ventures, bringing our total raised to $42M. Already trusted by Gusto, Instacart, Opendoor, dbt Labs, and Decagon.

Runlayer is looking for a Field Marketing Manager to lead the execution of our trade shows and regional events. Reporting to the Head of Field Marketing, you’ll own each program from start to finish, including planning, vendor negotiations, promotions, onsite execution, and post-event reporting.

You'll partner closely with our GTM org to bring each program to life, and you'll be the person that's relied on for precise execution and a clear read on how each program performed.

What You'll Do

  • Own execution of trade shows and regional programs end to end, from planning and negotiation through contracting, promotion, activation, and post-event reporting.

  • Own on-site logistics and execution for tradeshows, conferences, and small format events. Ensuring high-touch, on-brand delivery for customers, prospects, and partners.

  • Partner with Sales and Demand Generation to align target account lists for each program and convert event and sponsorship engagement into qualified pipeline.

  • Evaluate and prioritize third-party sponsorship opportunities based on audience fit, brand visibility, and pipeline potential.

  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to align messaging and enablement across your programs.

  • Manage individual program and sponsorship budgets within the overall plan.

  • Track and report on performance for each program you run, including pipeline influenced, cost-per-lead, attendee quality, and sponsorship ROI, and share recommendations on what to repeat, adjust, or cut.

  • Cultivate relationships with sponsoring partners and event organizers, and surface new opportunities and competitor/industry intel for your manager to evaluate.

  • Keep your manager and cross-functional stakeholders aligned on the status, risks, and results of every program on your calendar.

Who You Are

  • 4 to 6 years of experience in B2B field marketing or event marketing, ideally at an enterprise technology or SaaS company.

  • A proven track record owning trade shows and third-party sponsorship relationships end to end, including negotiating packages and managing renewals.

  • Obsessive about the details: nothing ships half-finished, no loose end goes untracked, and mistakes don't repeat.

  • Comfortable executing against a calendar and budget set by your manager, using good judgment to solve problems in the moment and flagging trade-offs before they become risks.

  • Highly organized and deadline-driven, able to juggle multiple concurrent programs and events across a region without letting quality slip.

  • A strong collaborator who can work effectively across teams, align stakeholders around shared goals, and keep every program moving from planning through follow-up.

  • Data-driven: comfortable tracking pipeline and sponsorship impact and reporting results to leadership.

  • Willing to travel up to 40% during peak event season.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a hybrid or fast-growing startup marketing team where standards are high and support is lean.

  • Familiarity with the developer tools, infrastructure, or AI/agent tooling space.

  • Direct experience negotiating sponsorship contracts with major industry conferences.

What We Offer

We provide a competitive package designed to attract and retain top talent who can work effectively with enterprise customers.

  • Competitive salary and equity — compensation that reflects your expertise and customer-facing responsibilities.

  • Paid time off — paid vacation, paid sick leave, and paid parental leave.

  • Professional development — budget for conferences, courses, and certifications in AI, enterprise software, and customer success.

  • Top-tier equipment — your choice of laptop and accessories to create your ideal work environment.

  • Health benefits — comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.

  • Customer interaction opportunities — work directly with innovative companies and see the immediate impact of your work.
