Job Description

We’re looking for a motivated Student Assistant to support our technology team with documentation, system support, and project tasks. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a professional IT environment, work with modern tools, and collaborate with developers to create clear, developer-friendly API documentation that helps other teams integrate seamlessly with our systems. This is a part-time position (15–20 hours per week) with flexibility and support during exam periods – ideal for balancing work and studies. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Document Technical Processes: collaborate with developers and IT staff to capture and maintain accurate documentation of APIs, workflows, and system processes. 
  • Create Developer-Friendly API Content: write and maintain guides, code samples, and reference materials that help internal and external teams understand and use our APIs. 
  • Maintain Technical Resources: organize and update content across knowledge bases, developer portals, and system documentation repositories. 
  • Ensure Clarity and Consistency: edit and review technical documentation to ensure it's clear, consistent, and easy to navigate using tools like Swagger/OpenAPI, Markdown, and Postman. 
  • Improve Documentation Workflows: help define and support version control and maintenance processes across the API landscape 
  • Assist With Testing and Research: support the team by testing tools and features, researching best practices, and troubleshooting minor technical issues. 
  • Contribute to Small-Scale IT Projects: assist in tasks such as software updates, basic data analysis, system integrations, and internal automation efforts. 
  • Provide Coordination and Admin Support: help schedule meetings, track tasks, and manage documentation-related project timelines. 
  • Work on a Flexible Schedule: typically 15–20 hours per week, with understanding and support during exam periods. 
  • Gain Exposure to Real-World IT Operations: observe and contribute to how a professional technology team works within agile environments and cross-functional projects. 


Skills & Knowledge

  • Current student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Technical Communication, or a related field. 
  • Basic understanding of APIs, REST, JSON, or similar technical concepts. 
  • Experience or strong interest in project coordination or supporting project management activities. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical information clearly. 
  • Detail-oriented mindset and the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, accessible language. 
  • Familiarity with documentation tools (Markdown, Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman) is a plus. 
  • Curious and proactive approach to learning, troubleshooting, and improving processes. 
  • Ability to work well with developers, IT staff, and other team members in a collaborative environment. 
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and balance workload alongside your studies.
