About School of Coding & AI
School of Coding & AI is a growing education provider delivering career focused programmes across Business, Computing, AI, STEM, Health and Social Care.
Established in 2017, we work with schools, colleges, universities and employers to deliver education that builds practical skills, professional confidence and strong career outcomes.
Our focus is simple: Student first, always.
About the Role
Do you enjoy organising activities, bringing people together and turning ideas into reality? We're looking for an enthusiastic and organised Events Planner to help create and deliver engaging events across the School of Coding & AI.
This is an entry level opportunity to build your experience in event planning, marketing and project coordination. You'll be involved in a variety of events, from student open days and workshops to recruitment fairs, networking sessions and internal company activities.
Working alongside colleagues across the business, you'll help bring events to life, develop relationships with suppliers and partners, and ensure everything runs smoothly from the initial planning stages through to the day itself.
No previous professional event planning experience is required - just a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and the drive to make things happen.
What you'll be doing
- Plan and coordinate events: Support the organisation of events from initial ideas and preparation through to delivery.
- Manage the details: Help arrange venues, catering, equipment, materials and other event requirements.
- Build working relationships: Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, venues and external partners to keep everything on track.
- Keep things organised: Maintain event schedules, budgets, checklists, bookings and attendance records.
- Support promotion: Assist with invitations, guest registration, email communications and promotional content, working alongside the branding team where needed.
- Bring events to life: Prepare event spaces, welcome attendees and provide practical support on the day.
- Learn and improve: Gather feedback, review what worked well and help make future events even better.
