Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer for a consulting assignment with one of our clients in the Stockholm area.
You will join an established DevOps team responsible for developing, maintaining and continuously improving the software production environment, including infrastructure, tools, automation and software delivery processes.
The development organization works across multiple technical areas and platforms, including Linux and Android, and the DevOps function works closely with several development teams as well as internal IT and other stakeholders.
In addition to hands-on DevOps engineering, the assignment includes taking on a Team Lead responsibility for the DevOps team.
Role and Responsibilities
As Team Lead, you will help plan and coordinate the team's activities while remaining hands-on in the technical work.
The role includes:
Planning, prioritizing and driving the team's activities.
Coordinating work across multiple development teams and stakeholders.
Supporting the strategic development of the DevOps function.
Ensuring operational stability and continuous improvement of internal systems and services.
Leading initiatives related to automation, infrastructure and software delivery.
Developing and maintaining CI/CD environments and related tooling.
Supporting and maintaining internally managed systems and services.
Working closely with development teams to improve their software production and delivery processes.
Collaborating with internal IT and other technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with documented experience in several of the following areas:
Administration and support of Linux and macOS clients and servers in a software development environment.
Python scripting and automation.
Development and support of cloud-based services and applications, preferably AWS and/or Azure.
Experience working in a mature DevOps environment.
Strong understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment/Delivery (CI/CD) methodologies, tools and best practices.
Integration and automation through REST APIs.
Experience working with tools and platforms such as:
Bitbucket
Jenkins
Artifactory
GitLab
Jira
Documentation of systems, processes, configurations and operational procedures.
Good understanding of IP networking concepts and basic network troubleshooting.
Administration and operation of virtualized server environments, preferably VMware.
Experience working with ticketing and issue management systems.
Experience taking a coordinating or team-leading role within a DevOps or infrastructure function.
AI-Driven Development
The team actively uses AI-assisted development tools as part of its daily engineering work.
Practical experience using AI tools in software engineering is therefore required. The consultant is also expected to contribute to the continued adoption and development of AI-enabled engineering practices within the team.
