The role holds the business-responsible side of the platform: what it does, which markets it serves, and in what order priorities are delivered. It works alongside existing technical and delivery partners. Between 20% and 33% of the role involves operational and administrative support for the team.
The Role Covers:
• Market roll-outs — Support and, over time, own the end-to-end launch of new countries on the platform, including back-office configuration, customer and user setup, pricing, legal and compliance content, testing, and go-live.
• Backlog management — Triage and prioritise a multi-market backlog containing several hundred items, keeping it current, categorised, and properly closed out.
• Defect triage — Conduct the initial assessment of reported faults, route them to the appropriate system owner, and translate between business descriptions and technical details.
• Business configuration — Manage day-to-day changes in the platform back office, including customers, users, unit codes, assortments, discounts, and customer settings.
• Process and meeting ownership — Coordinate and lead refinement sessions, stand-ups, go-live reviews, and readiness checkpoints.
• Reporting — Prepare platform performance reports for business reviews.
• Campaign coordination — Align marketing and commercial requests with the platform’s capabilities.
• Budget follow-up — Monitor program budgets monthly, review actuals against forecast, highlight variances and support timely corrective actions.
Requirements
Experience from:
• E-commerce operations — Understands B2B order flows, pricing, quotes, user management and invoicing; can configure customers, users, unit codes and assortments.
• Market roll-outs — Can coordinate several country launches, covering setup, testing, communications, legal and compliance requirements, and go-live documentation.
• ERP and integrations — Working knowledge of an ERP system and how pricing, warehouse routing and orders move between systems; able to identify and triage integration defects.
• Backlog management — Experienced in prioritising a large, multi-market backlog; distinguishes defects, user stories and strategic features, closes stale items and controls release scope.
• Stakeholder leadership — Communicates confidently with technical and senior business stakeholders, leads structured meetings, follows up independently and escalates blockers early.
• Data and reporting — Interprets platform KPIs, including orders, revenue and error rates, and turns findings into a clear narrative for business reviews; familiar with BI tools and CRM data quality.
• Commercial coordination — Understands campaigns, promotion codes and discounts, and aligns requests with realistic platform capabilities.
• Advanced Excel — Demonstrates excellent Excel skills and can confidently analyse large datasets, build clear reports, and use formulas, PivotTables and lookups to support decisions.
Valued qualifications
• Experience in industrial B2B, manufacturing or distribution environments.
• Familiarity with indent and distribution-centre order models.
• Exposure to multi-language and multi-currency platform configuration.
• Understanding of e-commerce launch requirements, including terms and conditions, data protection, tariffs and local invoicing rules.
Personal characteristics
• Growth-oriented — Has the potential and ambition to develop from a junior-to-mid-level profile into a Product Owner.
• Proactive and dependable — Acts on decisions, follows up promptly and delivers commitments without close supervision.
• Comfortable with ambiguity — Moves work forward when answers are unclear, using and communicating sound assumptions.
• Confident communicator — Builds credibility with markets, customers, vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Process-minded — Documents decisions and ways of working so knowledge is shared and retained.
