Associate Financial Analyst
Overview
Sharp Manufacturing Company of America is seeking a proactive and analytical Associate Financial Analyst to join our team in Memphis, TN. The ideal candidate enjoys improving processes, leveraging technology, and identifying opportunities that support business growth and operational excellence. The role supports financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, business performance analysis, and accounts payable activities while partnering with cross-functional teams to drive informed business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Support accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, reconciliations, discrepancy resolution, and vendor inquiries.
- Conduct month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.
- Monitor purchase orders, goods receipts, and aging items to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain data integrity within financial systems and reporting tools.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business performance analysis.
- Conduct inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing finance activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation, standardization, and reporting enhancements.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, management presentations, and ad hoc analyses.
- Analyze financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior year results.
- Partner with accounting, procurement, operations, and supply chain teams to support business objectives and maintain strong internal controls.
- Participate in special projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and other duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent required.
- 1–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, FP&A, accounts payable, or related analytical role preferred.
- Experience with accounting processes, financial reporting, budgeting, or forecasting. processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling. Experience with Power BI or other data visualization preferred.
- Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP.
- Manufacturing, supply chain, or operational finance experience preferred.

The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
