Job Description

  • Support the day-to-day administration and processing of all new and existing mortgage applications.
  •  Processing Decision in Principle (DIP) enquiries with full knowledge of TML Credit Policies
  • Supporting Underwriters to progress applications to Completion.
  • Mortgage Admin Officers will have a full knowledge of the Mortgage Application System and utilise the system to ensure all mortgage applications are processed in line with the company’s service standards.
  • Mortgage Admin Officer’s will liaise directly with intermediaries, solicitors and valuers on the application ensuring information requested is received and processed accurately, as well as providing an excellent level of service to the third parties. • Consider and apply the principle of Treating Customer Fairly (TCF) during the process.
  • TCF is central to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) expectations of firms’ conduct and that all staff will be required to demonstrate a knowledge of this key operating principle which will be incorporated into TML’s operations.
  • Successfully assess and were appropriate approve loan applications in line with prevailing credit policy.
  •  Meeting service level timelines for each activity.
  • Creation and maintenance of professional and open relationship with intermediaries.
  • Identification of incomplete or contradictory information received and successful resolution of risk and/or issue.
  • Actively participates in and contributes to departmental meetings including making suggestions to improve processes or (where applicable) amend policy.
  • Demonstrates a full understanding of regulation as it affects mortgages.
  • Continued adherence to the company’s training and monitoring programme which includes, Anti Money Laundering/Financial Crime, Treating Customers Fairly, Anti Bribery and Corruption.

Qualifications

Skills & Experience

  • Administration experience, preferably in a mortgage environment
  • Financial Services experience, preferably in a mortgage environment
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn new skills
  • Technology skills - including MS Excel and Word
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
