Job Description

We are a compact organization with direct communication and real ownership. Product and Technology work as one department: Product sets direction and intended outcomes; Engineering shapes sustainable solutions and brings them to production.

Why Shoparize

You will shape both Shoparize’s product direction and how Product works within the company. The role has direct access to senior leadership, a capable Product Manager to develop, and an experienced Engineering team ready to engage early in discovery. You will have meaningful influence without the layers and hand-offs of a large organization.

We offer:
  • A competitive salary.
  • A flexible hybrid-working policy and an Amsterdam office.
  • 25 days of annual leave.
  • A company laptop and full reimbursement of travel costs.
  • ClassPass membership, lunch and healthy office snacks.
  • Support for professional development.
  • Team events and offsites with an international group of colleagues.
]]> Your responsibilities
  • Own and communicate the product vision and strategy.
  • Turn agreed company priorities into evidence-based roadmap proposals and a clearly ordered product backlog.
  • Build a continuous understanding of merchants, partners and shoppers through research, product data and commercial insight.
  • Establish practical discovery and validation methods so that important assumptions are tested before substantial delivery investment.
  • Define product outcomes and measures, then use them to evaluate impact and adjust direction.
  • Partner with the Head of Engineering on feasibility, sequencing and trade-offs while protecting the intended customer and business outcome.
  • Advise the CTO, CEO and COO on product choices and align Sales, Marketing, Operations and Technology around explicit priorities.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first year, Shoparize has a product strategy that connects company goals to a small number of clear choices. Roadmap decisions use customer and commercial evidence. Discovery and product measurement are part of normal product work. The Product Manager has grown in scope and capability, and stakeholders understand both the priorities and the reasoning behind them.

What You Bring

  • Significant product-management experience in e-commerce sector, e.g. online marketplaces, online stores, or price comparison websites.
  • Experience leading a product function, coaching product managers or establishing product practice in a growing organization.
  • Strong customer-discovery, opportunity-assessment and product-analytics skills.
  • Commercial judgement: you can connect customer value to revenue, retention, cost and strategic advantage.
  • A record of working closely with software engineers and making good trade-offs without prescribing technical solutions.
  • Clear communication and the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders with evidence.
  • Comfort working hands-on in a small team while building structure that can scale.
  • Professional fluency in English.

Nice To Have

  • Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, adtech, performance marketing or B2B merchant products.
  • Experience with data products, experimentation or products serving several customer groups.
  • Familiarity with European digital-commerce markets.
