Design Engineer Intern

Designing for autonomous agents is genuinely unsolved. When software acts on its own, the usual patterns stop working: how does someone watch an agent, trust it, correct it, or take back control? There's no established playbook, which makes this an unusually interesting place to design.

You'll work on real product surfaces that ship to users, with the support of an experienced team.

What you'll do

• Design end-to-end product surfaces for agent experiences, from concept through shipped interface

• Explore new interaction models for how people observe, guide, and interrupt autonomous agents

• Build working prototypes in code, not just clickable mockups, so ideas get tested against reality early

• Use AI tools aggressively to compress the distance between an idea and something running

• Run lightweight user testing and turn what you learn into design decisions

• Contribute to and help maintain our design system for consistency across the product
