Cleared Onsite Linux Administrator (5647)

SMX is seeking a driven and talented Linux Engineer to join our thriving Cloud Business Unit department and work with some of the best Architects, Engineers, and Operators in the market. This individual will bring a passion for technology, a strong technical skill set, and an ability to deploy, employ, operate, and sustain Production-ready solutions, software and tools for our customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Position is onsite
• Working as directed by contractual guidance

Required Skills and Experience:

• Clearance Required: None; Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience
• Interest in working with and learning a wide variety of technologies. Our team works with DevOps technologies, systems automation, configuration management, Linux container technologies (Kubernetes, GitOps workflows), CI/CD pipelines, disaster recovery, performance tuning, and more.
• Linux systems management and analysis experience (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Comfortable administering virtualized environments with VMware vSphere VMs, containers, or similar.
• Experience administering systems in a large-scale setting.
