Brazilian Portuguese Localization Specialist - Osaka

• Translate in-game text, promotional material, and press releases 

• Create and update the SNK Brazilian Portuguese style guide and game glossaries 

• Proofread/edit translated text to ensure quality 

• Raise culturally sensitive issues for discussion within the localization team 

• Check implemented text in-game for context and mistranslations 

• Handle bug fixes 

• Collaborate with other companies’ developers as necessary for crossover characters and events 

Requirements

• Native speaker of Brazilian Portuguese 

• 3 years of localization experience (preferably in game localization) 

• Business level English (TOEIC 800 and above or equivalent) 

• Ability to organize and multitask over multiple projects 

• Ability to communicate and coordinate with various stakeholders within the localization team 

• Experience with Confluence, Microsoft Office, or similar software 

• Experience with memoQ or similar translation memory software 

• Experience with Jira or similar bug tracking software 

Nice-to-have:  

• Business level Japanese (JLPT level N2 and above or equivalent)
