SEARCH is seeking a Senior Archaeologist to support various projects in the US. The position can be remote or based out of one of our offices is Orlando, Jacksonville, Pensacola, or New Orleans.
Successful candidates will have a background in cultural resource management. The candidate should have excellent technical writing skills and the ability to produce reports for review by subject matter experts on behalf of federal, state, and tribal agencies under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and the National Environmental Policy Act, among other historic preservation laws/regulations.
- Use experience, education from a degreed program, and professional judgment to identify and target locations of enhanced site probability based on cultural, geological, and other environmental features
- Administer the project health and safety plan, participate in office and field training, and offer recommendations for improvement to health and safety manager
