ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATORY ENGINEER
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the acquisition of federal environmental permits
- Lead environmental field work for assigned projects, including due diligence, delineations, habitat assessments, and threatened and endangered species surveys
- Use GIS to capture field conditions and communicate constraints to design, construction, and leadership
- Help design and construction engineers keep the work compliant as plans change and offer practical options when a plan conflicts with a constraint
- Guide construction crews in the field so work stays within environmental limits
- Partner with EHS where stormwater, spills, waste, and site controls meet natural-resource and permit requirements
- Maintain productive relationships with external regulatory agencies (e.g., EPA, state environmental departments, local authorities) on permitting matters
