About the role
Robots only work if every part is exactly what it claims to be — and that's on you. You'll be the final word on mechanical quality in the QC lab, using GD&T to catch what others miss, leading first article inspections, and making sure the parts going into our robots actually match the drawings they came from.
What you'll do
- Perform GD&T inspection (ASME Y14.5) on mechanical parts and assemblies in the QC lab, catching deviations before they become problems downstream
- Program and operate CMMs and other advanced measurement equipment to verify parts against spec
- Lead First Article Inspections for mechanical parts at launch and after any process change
- Run process audits on production mechanical operations to keep quality consistent at scale
