Senior Manager - Technical Accounting, Consolidations, and SEC Reporting

Position Overview
The person in this role will own key accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting workstreams across the firm’s corporate entities and consolidated fund structures. This role will also serve as a technical accounting resource for complex and non-routine transactions, supports SEC reporting, and maintains accounting policies and conclusions related to consolidation and other U.S. GAAP matters.
Essential Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly and quarterly global consolidation processes across corporate entities and consolidated fund structures.
- Maintain accounting conclusions for consolidated entities and funds, including ASC 810 VIE assessments.
- Prepare and review consolidation schedules, eliminations, and supporting analyses for the general ledger close and financial reporting process.
- Support the continued evolution and scalability of accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting processes through the thoughtful use of automation, AI, and other technology solutions.
- Research, draft, and drive technical accounting positions for complex, non-routine transactions, new fund structures, and business initiatives, including consolidation, fair value, business combinations, equity method investments, debt and equity transactions, share-based compensation, and related disclosure considerations.
- Draft and maintain accounting policies that support U.S. GAAP conclusions.
- Support the preparation and review of SEC filings, including consolidation and consolidated fund-related disclosures.
- Partner with Fund Accounting to ensure accurate integration of GP entities and consolidated fund results into consolidated financial statements.
- Serve as a key contact for auditors on consolidation and technical accounting matters.
- Support the SOX control environment related to financial reporting and consolidation processes.
- Lead assigned workstreams, provide technical guidance, and review and develop the work of junior team members.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of seven years of progressive accounting experience in a public-company, multinational, or otherwise complex organization.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including consolidation accounting and technical accounting matters involving complex or non-routine transactions.
- Experience preparing technical accounting memoranda and supporting external financial statement audits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Public accounting experience, preferably with a Big 4 or national firm.
- Experience in asset management, alternative investments, or another complex financial services environment.
- Experience supporting public-company SEC reporting processes.
- Familiarity with investment partnership accounting, fund structures, and related financial reporting considerations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and financial reporting systems; NetSuite experience preferred.
- Experience evaluating or implementing automation or other technology-enabled solutions within an accounting, controllership, or financial-reporting process.

Base Salary Range: $160,000 - $175,000
The salary range is an estimate of pay for this position. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related factors that can include location, education, skill, and experience. The salary range does not include any benefits or other forms of possible compensation that may be available to employees.
