Backend Engineer (Global Bank Tribe)
SumUp enables businesses to get paid easily, process orders quickly, sell online instantly and manage their money more efficiently. We create the tools businesses need to make their business and their customer experience thrive. As a key member of the Global Bank tribe, you'll play a key part in helping us build SumUp's own digital bank. You'll be part of a global, autonomous, cross-functional team that takes an aspect of our product and perfects it from concept to execution.
As a Backend Engineer on the Transfers squad, you'll help evolve and maintain the LATAM side of our Transfers ecosystem, a highly available platform that moves money across Pix, TED, bill payments, and payouts. It's a regulated, business critical domain where reliability and compliance directly affect whether merchants and partners can trust the system to move their money correctly.
What you'll do
- Build, evolve, and maintain backend services for the LATAM side of the Transfers ecosystem, covering Pix, TED, bill payments, and payouts
- Deliver features end to end, from design through to production, following the squad's engineering standards
- Contribute to Pix stability and compliance work, including integrations and alignment
