Freight & Logistics Planner
The Freight & Logistics Planner is responsible for keeping shipments moving at the best cost and service level. The role analyzes freight spend, carrier performance and shipping patterns. It turns those findings into recommendations on routing, mode selection, carrier sourcing and cost reduction, and works closely with carriers, warehouse teams, procurement and finance.
The Freight and Logistics Planner plays an integral role in our Customer Experience and ensures our Customers receive exceptional service throughout the flow of order processing, as well as ensuring problems with order flow are expertly resolved.

Responsibilities:
- Load planning and scheduling: Plan inbound and outbound shipments and build loads that make the best use of trailer and container space.
- Carrier booking: Tender loads to contracted carriers or brokers, choose the right mode (FTL, LTL, intermodal, or air) and confirm capacity.
- Shipment tracking: Monitor freight in transit and give customers and internal teams proactive updates on delays or exceptions. Work with CER and Scheduling when customer has a must arrive date.
