Customer Success Manager II (Professional Sport, North America)
I'm Brian Tatum, Senior Director of Customer Success for the Pro Segment at Teamworks. We are seeking a driven, collaborative Customer Success Manager II to own relationships with professional customers. This person will ensure that Teamworks’ reputation for strong relationship-building, customer experience, and service in the professional market remains an overwhelming competitive advantage.
Our Customer Success team manages significant and growing revenue across professional sports, and as we continue to expand our footprint, we're investing in team members to help provide additional value and support.
The Role
Partner with current CSMs and own a customer portfolio for the full suite of Teamworks products focused on the professional market.
Plan and execute each step of the customer lifecycle for professional teams, including product training, ongoing value delivery, account expansion, and renewal.
Collaborate with customers to ensure that they are achieving their goals.
Evangelize Teamworks amongst professional staff, developing multiple key relationships and deepening product usage.
Support renewal conversations and identify cross-sell and expansion opportunities alongside Sales.
Analyze customer data, draw insights to inform accounts’ success, and identify opportunities to increase engagement and drive value.
Join on-site visits during key seasonal windows like training camp, pre-season, and in-season check-ins.
Master product functionality and communicate technical capabilities to customers.
What I'm Looking For
What You Must Bring
3-5+ years experience working in a professional sports organization.
Hands-on experience using Teamworks products, such as Hub, Performance, or Coaching, as an end-user or admin in a pro team setting.
Demonstrated ability to build trust quickly with multiple staff.
Strong written and verbal communication, specifically the ability to translate technical product workflows into language that makes sense to non-technical staff.
Willingness to travel for on-site visits based on league seasonality.
Even Better If
You have relationships or credibility within pro organizations, such as with management, performance directors, or operations staff.
Experience in account management, customer success, and/or SaaS.
Experience with value delivery and client retention best practices.
Strong initiative and self-direction; able to understand, react to, and motivate others in changing conditions.
Thrives working on a variety of initiatives at a fast pace.
People-oriented and quick to connect; enthusiastic, persuasive and collaborative.
