Tetra Maritime is the Nigerian operating platform of Union Maritime Limited, an international shipping group established in 2006 with offices across four continents. Union Maritime operates a diversified fleet of circa 100 vessels across the tanker and dry bulk sectors, with a strong presence in the clean products and light chemical markets. Tetra serves as the group’s principal presence in Nigeria, supporting its vessels and cargoes across Nigerian and West African trades. This role is based in Abuja to keep Tetra close to the government bodies, regulators and agencies that are central to its activities in the country.

The Position

We are looking for a proactive and well-connected Local Content Associate to represent Tetra Maritime and the wider Union Maritime group on the ground in Abuja. Working closely with the operations and documentation teams in Lagos and the commercial team in London, the role is hands-on and mobile: meeting government officials, keeping document approvals and permits on track, building and maintaining relationships across the sector, and keeping the group informed of developments in the Nigerian oil and gas market. It will suit an energetic and personable individual who is comfortable moving between government offices and agencies to get things done, and who can represent the group credibly and professionally in-country.
