Job Description

The Trade Desk is a global technology company and the world’s leading independent platform for digital advertising, with over 3,000 employees across more than 30 offices. Our technology helps advertisers reach the right audiences across the open internet — from streaming TV and podcasts to mobile apps, news, and more.

Advertising powers the content people love. By making it more transparent, effective, and responsible, we help support trusted journalism, quality entertainment, and creators worldwide. The world’s brands and agencies rely on us to reach their customers and grow their businesses responsibly.

The scale of our platform brings unique technical challenges — from processing massive datasets in real time to building systems that operate reliably on a global scale. When you work here, your impact is worldwide. We welcome diverse perspectives, encourage curiosity, and build teams that learn from one another. If you’re driven to solve meaningful challenges, we’d love to meet you.

The Trade Desk is changing the way global brands and their agencies advertise to audiences around the world. How? With a media buying platform that helps brands deliver a more insightful and relevant ad experience for consumers –– and sets a new standard for global reach, accuracy, and transparency. We are proud of the culture we have built. We value the unique experiences and perspectives that each person brings to The Trade Desk, and we are committed to fostering inclusive spaces where everyone can bring their authentic selves to work every day.

This is a fully remote role to service Independent agencies in the North of England (typically Manchester and Leeds).  There is an expectation to visit these clients regularly during the week (travel costs expensed) as well as occasional (~once per month) travel to TTD offices in London for commercial team events.  You will work alongside a Business Development Director and Associate Account Director also fully remote in the North of England.

So, if you are talented, driven, creative, and eager to join a dynamic, globally-connected team, then we want to talk!

What you'll do:

  • Drive commercial success by managing and optimizing a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring strong trading performance and account growth.
  • Work with internal teams to create growth strategies that help achieve client’s goals and objectives.
  • Become a leader in best practices for The Trade Desk platform and offer insights on how to improve campaign effectiveness through the platform’s functionality. Mentor clients leveraging this expertise.
  • Combine data analysis and client feedback to create optimisation strategies and provide solutions for complex campaigns to meet client objectives.
  • Work closely with Product Management and other cross-functional teams to help define features and enhancements to improve the platform.
  • Help build our trading best practices, including creating training collateral and internal resources.
  • Work closely with the client services team to develop and execute an onboarding plan that will make customers successful with our real time buying platform.
  • Understand and effectively communicate The Trade Desk’s value proposition, technology, processes, and partnerships, as they relate to growth of current client accounts.
  • Help build the Client Services practice, including developing training material, customer facing assets, and internal resources for trading media through our platform.

Who you are:

  • Programmatic Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with DSPs, online ad operations, and the broader programmatic ecosystem.
  • Strategic Problem-Solving: A consultative approach to navigating complex advertising and business challenges for clients.
  • Strong Leadership & Coaching: Proven ability to set clear goals, measure success, hold external and internal teams accountable, provide constructive feedback, and foster professional development of the trader’s community.
  • Comprehensive Industry Knowledge: Experience working across the full programmatic supply chain, including ad exchanges, aggregators, ad servers, and optimization platforms.
  • Performance-Driven Mindset: Hands-on experience in trafficking and optimizing CPA, CPC, and direct marketing campaigns, preferably in an RTB environment.
  • Advanced Data Skills: Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, data analysis, and visualization to drive insights and decision-making.
  • Analytical & Solution-Oriented: Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive immediate impact.
