Production Operator
Overview
Mural is partnering with a global specialty chemical and polymer manufacturer to staff their production facilities across Michigan, Massachusetts, and Ohio. Our client produces polymer colorants and specialty additive materials used across automotive, packaging, appliance, and consumer product manufacturing. Their plants operate continuously and they need experienced production operators who know how to run blending and extrusion equipment, follow recipe-based procedures, and maintain accurate documentation.
What you will be doing
Set up and operate blending and extrusion machinery following operating and safety procedures
Weigh ingredients to recipe specification; monitor production for safe and efficient operation
Troubleshoot basic processing and equipment issues; escalate to supervisor when needed
Examine materials to ensure they meet quality standards; take lab samples when required
Complete production logs, system transactions, and required documentation
Perform machine cleaning; maintain housekeeping standards throughout your shift
Follow all safety, ISO, and EHS rules; wear required PPE at all times
What we are looking for
1+ year of experience in blending, mixing, extrusion, or plastics/chemical manufacturing
Able to set up and operate production machinery; basic troubleshooting experience
Basic computer literacy for production documentation
Physically able to lift 55 lbs regularly; comfortable in a chemical/industrial environment
Available for 2nd shift; reliable transportation to Albion, MI
High school diploma or GED required
Pay and Schedule
Competitive hourly rate. Temp-to-perm. 2nd shift. Albion, Michigan.
