Senior Applied AI Engineer

Location: New York, NY (onsite, 5 days)

Pay: $220,000–$300,000 + equity

A fast-growing, venture-backed software and payments company is hiring an applied AI engineer to build agents its customers use every day. Each engineer owns a full product area, and work reaches customers the same week it's written.

What you'll do

• Build production LLM agents for pricing, marketing and reporting

• Extract structured data from messy real-world documents

• Build embedding-based matching and retrieval

• Own the evaluation and tracing harnesses

• Take models from prototype to production, shipping weekly

What you bring

• 5+ years building and shipping AI products

• Strong TypeScript and/or Python

• Experience across the full AI lifecycle, including evals

• Uses AI coding tools to work in parallel

• BS, MS or PhD in CS or related, or equivalent ex
