Job Description

Your Role: People Partner

As a People Partner, you’ll be a hands-on collaborator, supporting employees and managers across your business areas. You’ll provide practical guidance on people policies, employee relations and key people initiatives, helping to create a positive, inclusive and high-performing workplace.

Working with the Head of People, People Director and/or Senior or Lead People Partner in your team, you’ll help deliver people plans that support business priorities and a consistent, seamless experience for Globallers.

As a People Partner at Global, you will:

Key Responsibilities

  • Employee relations and policy advice (40%): Act as a first point of contact for employees and managers on people matters. Provide clear, consistent guidance on people policies and procedures, supporting the effective resolution of employee relations cases.

  • Manager support and people initiatives (35%): Coach managers on performance management, people processes and day-to-day team matters. Support the delivery of initiatives that strengthen culture, engagement, talent and the employee experience.

  • People insight and collaboration (25%): Use people data and metrics to support decision-making, identify trends and help shape practical actions. Work closely with People Operations to share insight and improve policies, templates and toolkits.

What You’ll Love About This Role

Think Big: Contribute to people plans and initiatives that create a positive, inclusive culture where Globallers can do their best work.

Own It: Build confidence across the full employee lifecycle, from supporting recruitment and onboarding through to employee relations and performance conversations.

Keep it Simple: Turn complex people issues and policies into practical, clear advice that helps managers make good decisions.

Better Together: Become a trusted partner to managers and colleagues, working closely with the wider People & Culture team to improve the employee experience.

What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you’ll have:

  • Built trusted relationships with Globallers and managers across your business areas.

  • Developed a strong understanding of Global’s people policies, processes, systems and ways of working.

  • Provided timely, practical support on a range of people matters, including employee relations and performance management.

  • Used people metrics to provide useful insight into areas such as turnover and engagement.

  • Worked collaboratively with People Operations to strengthen people resources and support consistent processes.

What You’ll Need

  • People partnering experience: Experience as a People Partner or an experienced People Advisor, with exposure to employee relations, the employee lifecycle, talent and culture.

  • Business and commercial awareness: Ability to understand business objectives and tailor people support to a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.

  • Delivery focus: A practical, organised approach to managing priorities, implementing change and improving processes without adding unnecessary complexity.

  • Relationship-building and influence: Ability to develop effective working relationships with managers and colleagues, building confidence and influencing positively.

  • Communication skills: A clear, credible and thoughtful communication style, able to engage people at all levels.

  • Analytical mindset: Confidence using people data and metrics to identify themes, understand root causes and support short-, medium- and long-term people plans.
