Senior HR Business Partner - Tieto Banktech (m/f/d)
Job Description
We are looking for a Senior HR Business Partner who wants to make a meaningful impact on business performance, leadership, and organizational development at Tieto Banktech.
Tieto Banktech powers some of the Nordics’ most trusted banking systems with secure, reliable, and scalable solutions. Using automation, data, AI, and cloud, supported by hands-on guidance, we help banks modernize their core, strengthen trust, and deliver greater impact across the banking experience.
Our Banking as a Platform (BaaP) business unit delivers mission-critical core banking solutions to Norwegian financial institutions. By combining deep banking expertise with modern technology, we help our customers strengthen resilience, meet evolving regulatory requirements, and drive continuous innovation across the financial sector.
As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will have the opportunity to shape how our business grows, transforms, and develops its capabilities. You will work closely with leaders across an international organization of more than 700 professionals and 60 leaders, influencing decisions that connect business strategy, people, and technology.
This is an opportunity to move beyond traditional HR Business partnering and take an active role in building an organization equipped for the future — in a business where technological development, continuous improvement, and the ability to adapt are essential to success.
When joining Tieto Banktech as a Senior HR Business Partner
You will join a skilled team of HR Business Partners, People & Culture professionals, HR Operations specialists, and business leaders. We work collaboratively, share knowledge, and continuously develop our approach to supporting the business.
In this role, you will be a trusted advisor to leaders and an active contributor to business development. You will have the opportunity to influence strategic priorities, challenge existing practices, and turn organizational needs into concrete actions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Influencing business decisions: Partner with senior leaders to translate business strategy into people priorities, challenge assumptions, and support decisions that strengthen business performance.
- Driving organizational transformation: Play an active role in organizational change, business transformation, and growth initiatives, helping leaders navigate complexity and build readiness for the future.
- Developing leadership and talent: Strengthen leadership capabilities, talent development, performance management, succession planning, and workforce planning to ensure the organization has the right skills and capabilities.
- Building an effective organization: Support organizational design and development, helping teams operate effectively and adapt to changing business needs.
- Strengthening employee relations: Work closely with employee representatives and unions to maintain constructive dialogue and support sustainable people practices in line with Norwegian labour law.
- Turning people data into business insights: Use People Analytics and workforce insights to identify opportunities, inform decisions, and improve organizational effectiveness.
- Transforming the way HR works: Collaborate with local and global colleagues to improve People & Culture processes, tools, and ways of working.
- Exploring new technology and innovation: Contribute to the adoption of digital HR solutions, automation, and AI-enabled tools that create new opportunities for HR and the wider business.
Your impact will extend beyond individual HR processes. You will help leaders build stronger teams, make better decisions, and develop the organizational capabilities needed to support continued business growth.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced HR professional who combines strong HR expertise with business acumen, strategic thinking, and the confidence to influence decisions at senior levels.
You understand that effective HR partnering is about more than providing advice — it is about understanding what drives the business, anticipating future needs, and helping leaders translate strategy into results.
We believe you have:
- 8+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Partner, or in a comparable senior HR role.
- Solid knowledge of Norwegian labour law and experience working with unions and employee representatives.
- Proven experience advising senior leaders and supporting organizational change in complex environments, combined with strong stakeholder management, communication, coaching, and influencing skills.
- Experience working in international and matrixed organizations.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to connect business objectives with effective people strategies.
- Fluency in Norwegian and English, both verbally and in writing.
We also believe you have
- Experience in banking, financial services, fintech, technology, or another knowledge-intensive industry.
- An interest in People Analytics, digital HR, AI, and modern employee experience solutions.
We offer a role with business impact. An environment driven by technology. Room to grow.
As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will work at the intersection of business, people, and technology, with direct access to senior leaders and the opportunity to influence decisions that shape the organization. Your work will contribute to business performance, leadership effectiveness, and the development of capabilities that support our long-term ambitions.
We believe growth comes from taking ownership, collaborating across disciplines, and continuously developing new capabilities. Here, you will have the opportunity to broaden your perspective, strengthen your strategic HR expertise, and contribute to meaningful organizational change.
