People Partner

Job Summary
Reporting directly to our Chief People Officer, this is a broad People role with real opportunity to make an impact. You’ll partner with managers across the business, lead on Employee Relations, performance and talent activity, and play an active role in organisational change and integration.
We’re not looking for someone who has seen absolutely everything before. We want someone with strong People foundations, great judgement and bags of curiosity & innovation. Someone confident enough to ask good questions, challenge thinking, make a recommendation and take accountability for what happens next.

What you'll do
Partner, coach & challenge
Build trusted relationships with managers and help them build high-performing teams.
Coach and challenge managers through performance, feedback, team dynamics and people decisions.
Help managers become more confident and accountable for leading their own teams.
Use People data and insight to spot themes, challenge assumptions and recommend action.
Bring a commercial People perspective while keeping employee experience front of mind.
Lead Employee Relations
Take ownership of complex ER cases including performance, absence, disciplinary, grievance and sensitive employee matters.
Coach managers through difficult conversations and help them act confidently, fairly and at the right pace.
Apply strong working knowledge of UK employment law pragmatically.
Support restructures, consultations and complex exits, working with the CPO and external expertise where appropriate.
Use good judgement to understand risk, knowing when to make the call and when to bring in additional expertise.
Shape performance, talent & change
Lead our performance and talent cycles, helping managers turn conversations into meaningful action.
Support organisational design, workforce planning and team changes alongside leaders and the CPO.
Play an active role in our acquisition and integration work, particularly around manager support, change, communication and employee experience.
Spot capability or organisational challenges and bring ideas about how we could tackle them differently.
