Role Description

We are seeking a Litigation Associate with 4 years of litigation experience to join our California Litigation Practice Group. This role is ideal for a litigator with a strong background in medical malpractice defense and experience handling complex litigation matters in both state and federal court.

This is a hybrid position with the flexibility to work from any of our Southern California offices, including Los Angeles, San Diego, or Irvine.

What You’ll Do

• Manage all phases of complex medical malpractice and healthcare litigation matters in both state and federal court, including pleadings, motion practice, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Defend healthcare providers, hospitals, physicians, and long-term care facilities in medical malpractice, elder abuse, and catastrophic injury matters.
• Take and defend fact and expert witness depositions and manage written discovery.
• Draft and argue substantive motions, including Motions for Summary Judgment and Summary Adjudication.
• Participate in client meetings, hearings, mediations, and litigation-related proceedings throughout California.
