Belgium: Unix System Administrator Senior - Freelance (REF18)

Skills Required:

• Scripting: bash, ksh, Python
• Task estimation
• Virtualization with VMware vSphere 7.x, Solaris zones
• Creation, management, and migration of virtual machines
• User, group, role, and permission management
• Monitoring storage resources
• Snapshots / disaster recovery
• vCenter Server
• High availability clusters
• SRM
• Networking: TCP/IP, snmp, LAN, WAN, ...
• OS: Linux Redhat 7 and 8
• OS: Solaris 11
• OS: ESX 7
• SAN storage (DELL/EMC Unity, Powerstore)
• Knowledge of ITIL
• Possession of VMware/Linux certifications is a plus.
• Demonstrable experience as a System Administrator (setting up, managing, and maintaining systems)
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience, at the level of a systems engineer, in at least one of the specialized systems: Unix/Linux/Windows systems, Mainframe systems, application middleware (web and application servers, ...), security systems, network and communication systems, generic or specialized systems and platforms (e.g., AD, LDAP, email, Sharepoint, Documentum, ...)
• Demonstrable experience with ICT infrastructure solutions
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience of relevant ITIL processes (especially regarding change management).

Language requirement: Dutch-speaking at European CEFR - level C2.
