Industrial Engineering Intern
Urschel Laboratories, INC. is seeking an Industrial Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to work alongside our operations and manufacturing teams on projects focused on process improvement, operational efficiency, and production excellence. This internship offers hands-on experience in manufacturing operations while providing opportunities to analyze data, improve processes, and contribute to meaningful business initiatives.
Urschel designs and manufactures industrial cutting equipment for food processing and allied industries around the world from our global headquarters located in Chesterton, Indiana, U.S.A. Consumers purchase goods manufactured on Urschel cutting equipment on a daily basis. Advanced manufacturing technologies are utilized at our climate controlled, clean, and environmentally conscious facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, review, and update standardized work instructions throughout the facility
- Support continuous improvement and process optimization projects within the operations departments
- Assist production departments with data analysis to identify opportunities related to production quality, throughput, delays, etc.
