Our team manages terabytes of data streaming from consoles (PS4, PS5) and external devices into our Data Platform and Warehouses. We make this data accessible, reliable, and ready for analytics, machine learning, and AI.

As a Software Engineer Intern, you'll work alongside engineers to design, automate, and improve data pipelines that support our next-generation data streaming platform. You'll gain practical experience with large-scale data systems, real-time processing, and modern engineering principles like Data Mesh and Data Fabric.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Build and improve automation solutions for data pipelines to support efficient and reliable data processing.
  • Help customers onboard, publish, and consume events through the data streaming platform.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues identified through automation, alerts, or customer feedback.
  • Collaborate with engineers to improve data flows, test solutions, and ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation, including design specifications and development guidelines.
  • Explore tools and technologies used in metadata activation and data management and assist in developing solutions aligned with Data Mesh and Data Fabric principles.
  • Gain practical experience with data streaming, real-time processing, agile workflows, and DevOps tools used in continuous integration and deployment (CICD).

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proficiency in Java for developing data processing pipelines and real-time streaming applications.
  • Experience with Apache Kafka.
  • Experience using Docker, Jenkins, and Kubernetes for CICD.
  • Proficiency with Git for version control and collaborative development.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and document technical work.
  • Experience with SQL (MySQL) or NoSQL (DynamoDB, Aerospike, Cassandra, Couchbase) databases is a plus.
  • Familiarity with building scalable, fault-tolerant data pipelines is a plus.
  • Understanding of Data Mesh and Data Fabric principles is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Apache Flink is a plus.

Eligibility:

  • Students with expected graduation between May 2026 and December 2029 from an accredited university. Undergraduate Degree
  • Able to work during one of the following periods: May 17th - August 6th or June 14th - September 3rd. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
