Commercial Manager (Transmission)

Our Transmission group is currently looking to add a Commercial Manager to our growing team, based in Calgary, AB.

Reporting to the Director, Commercial, we are seeking a skilled professional with extensive experience in commercial and contract management, negotiations, project management, and financial analysis. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of our construction projects, ensuring profitability, compliance, and risk mitigation.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support contract lifecycle, from tendering to execution, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards
• Participate in Contract Reviews and Lessons Learned activities
• Support project management team in change management related matters
• Ensure change management protocols are established during execution and implemented
• Support project teams with contract interpretation
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to safeguard the company’s interests
• Support project team with validation of incoming change requests and subcontractor notices, where required
• Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
• Provide project management support, that includes risk management related to forecasting, scheduling, and performance evaluation
• Conduct financial evaluations of projects, analyzing budg
