Project Quality Lead
Our Transmission group is currently looking to add a Project Quality Lead to our growing team, based in the Edmonton, AB area.
Reporting functionally to the Quality Manager, Lines, and operationally to the Project Manager, this position will be responsible for managing Quality on Valard’s Power Line Project with Dow Chemical in Fort Saskatchewan. This includes inspecting civil and power line installations and effectively implementing Valard’s Quality Program and Quality Management System and compiling Progressive Turnover Packages.
Scope of the inspections includes, but may not be limited to: Earthworks, Grounding, Foundation Installation, Structural Steel Welding, Assembly and Erection, Stringing, Electrical Equipment Material and Installation, Cabling, Control Building Construction, Fencing and Commissioning.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute quality assurance and quality control activities on the project site
- Follow Company Quality Manual, project specific Quality Plan and Inspection and Test Plans
- Support all team members on Quality-related matters and ensure Valard meets the requirements of the applicable Contract, Client Standards, Provincial and Federal Regulations, and Code(s) of Construction
- Liaise with cross-functional groups within Valard, as well as the designated client and sub contractor quality personnel on quality matters for the project
