We are looking for Mechatronics Product Technical Leader for Power divison.
Key Technical Responsibilities & Deliverables:
Lead and ensure robust mechanical design execution in line with target cost and economic objectives.
Enforce design standardization rules, raising de-standardization requests only with strong technical justification.
Proactively identify technical gap areas within the platform and create new design standards and best practices.
Hands-on experience in 2D drafting and 3D modeling using CATIA.
Hands-on experience in High Voltage (HV) PCBA design using Zuken.
Proven experience in aluminium parts (HPDC), engineering plastic design, and Busbar design.
Demonstrated experience in selecting, designing, and optimizing Thermal Interface Materials (TIM).
Define and manage insulation strategies, creepage, and clearance requirements according to applicable IEC standards.
Implement structured Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies to test, optimize, and continuously improve design performance.
Organize and lead all required internal design reviews and ensure timely cross-functional reviews (e.g., Purchasing, Industrialization/Manufacturing).
Act as the technical R&D representative to the customer, interfacing on all project R&D topics while cascading customer requirements internally.
Report project status and proactively escalate issues to the Project Manager or R&D Manager as required.
Scheduling & Budgeting:
Serve as the primary owner and maintainer of the Mechatronic L3 Plan.
Contribute to identifying required resources, testing equipment, and capital investments.
Establish detailed task breakdowns and activity schedules to hit key project milestones.
Monitor activities and scope-related expenditures to stay within allocated budget constraints.
Team & Contributor Management:
Provide daily operational direction to all assigned R&D contributors (dedicated or non-dedicated).
Interface and collaborate with cross-site and international Technical Centers to execute deliverable work packages effectively.
Define and assign clear work packages to team members.
Conduct regular reviews with R&D, Product, and Discipline Department Managers to align workload with resource availability.
Let´s talk about you:
- Education: BS/MS in Mechanical or Mechatronics.
- Industry Experience: Experience in automotive and with high-voltage (HV) components.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with CATIA (2D/3D), Zuken (PCBA), and materials design (Aluminium/HPDC, plastics, busbars, TIM).
- Project Management: Proven ability to own technical schedules, manage budgets, and enforce design standardization to meet cost targets.
- Leadership & Communication: Experience with cross-functional international R&D teams, organizing design reviews, and acting as the primary technical liaison to customers.
- Language: Very good level of English.
