About the Job:

We're looking for a fullstack developer to join our small team on its quest to make the world's most loved construction software. You'll be involved in the entire development process, from deciding what to build through to implementation and release. Our developers work closely together, continuously learning from each other while keeping the codebase at a high quality. Like us, you'll be curious about how things work, and when they don't work as expected, you'll be quick to peek under the hood to better understand what's going on.

Our tech stack: TypeScript, MobX, Hasura, PostgreSQL, Python, Apollo, GraphQL, SQL, Flask, Redis, RQ, JavaScript, React, Vim, VSCode, HTML, CSS and AWS.

Our flagship product uses image recognition to identify elements in construction PDFs, built with Python (numpy), Postgres and React. For newer real-time collaborative features, Hasura gives us a GraphQL subscription layer over Postgres, which is transformed into MobX objects on the frontend.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; able to engage with technical partners and internal teams across time zones with clarity and professionalism
• Solid TypeScript and React development experience, with the ability to build complex, high-performance, production-quality user interfaces independently
• Strong SQL and PostgreSQL skills; comfortable writing and optimizing queries, designing schemas, and reasoning about data integrity and performance
• Strong Python backend experience, ideally with Flask; able to design, build, and maintain APIs and background processing services
• Demonstrated experience using Claude Code or equivalent agentic AI tooling as a core part of your engineering workflow; able to take a loosely defined capability, structure it into a delivery plan using AI, and drive it through to production-quality output with appropriate verification at each stage
• Strong engineering judgement when working with AI-generated code; you know what to trust, what to verify, and what to rewrite, particularly at API boundaries and in integration-critical paths.

Highly desirable

• Familiarity with image recognition or computer vision workflows, or numerical computing with numpy, particularly applied to processing PDFs or technical drawings
• Experience with Redis and job queues such as RQ for background and asynchronous processing
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud deployment in a production environment
• Background in or interest in the construction tech (ConTech) domain, or similar B2B SaaS products for technical industries
• Familiarity with AI agent orchestration, prompt engineering for code generation tasks, and context management in multi-step agentic workflows
