Job Description

Job Summary
As part of Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (EI&C) Engineering, you will work collaboratively with a
cross-functional engineering team executing custom project designs, meeting customer expectations,
quality, schedule, budget and ensuring project risks are mitigated. The individual chosen for this role will
be developed and trained in all aspects of the EI&C design for a wide range of water technologies. This
role will include leading the design effort for Instrumentation, Electrical, Controls and Programming,
supporting our production facilities, participating in customer facing factory acceptance tests and
assisting through commissioning.

• Knowledge of and/or demonstrated ability to learn equipment and processes related to Veolia products and systems.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Read, interpret and comment on engineering documents, including P&IDs, GAs, process design guidelines, return of experience, and engineering best practices guides.
• Perform required calculations and select the appropriate instrumentation for water treatment facilities as well as all supporting documentation (instrument lists, termination drawings, instrument datasheets, etc.).
• Design the complete detailed electrical design for water treatment facilities (single line diagrams, load lists, I/O lists, network architectures, panel design and schematics). Design the complete detailed process control documents (Control Philosophy, Control Logic & Sequence Charts) for plant operation, for assigned projects.
• Perform FAT’s, CVT’s and Commissioning support as required.
• Engage in the development of automation deliverables including test plans, programs, and nnetwork design.
• Manage budget, scope, schedule and proactively report risks and opportunities to project teams.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including coordinating, reporting, documentation, and presentations).
• Strong focus on customer relationships (external/internal). Understands balance between customer and Veolia teams.

Education & Experience
Required:

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent from an accredited University or College.
• Valid passport and driver’s license.

Preferred:

• Understanding of hydraulics, water chemistry and fundamentals of fluid mechanics.
• Knowledge of and/or demonstrated ability to learn equipment and processes related to Veolia WTS products and systems.
• Experience with control systems, Programmable Logic Controllers, HMI and SCADA design and programming.
• Basic technical knowledge in the field of industrial control systems.
• Understanding of Low Voltage Power Distribution System design.
• Professional Engineer or EIT designation.

Working Conditions

• Occasional travel up to 25% for commissioning support, client meetings, FAT’s, customer site visits and/or visits to other Veolia offices/production facilities

Compensation: The compensation range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $75,000 - 95,000 USD annually.
