Job Description

As Senior Outbound Product Manager (M/F/D) at VMRay, you will own problem discovery, positioning, messaging and sales readiness for our threat analysis products. You’ll translate market shifts and customer needs into crisp use cases, differentiated positioning, and repeatable narratives that scale across Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, and Customer Success. You don’t need to be deeply technical, but you must be able to understand the buyer/user landscape in cybersecurity and communicate credibly with security leaders and practitioners.

  • Problem discovery: Research buyers, users and market trends to frame customer problems and priorities

  • Use cases & ICP: Define and validate target users, ICP/personas, and supported use cases

  • Positioning & messaging: Create clear positioning, value prop, proof points & product collateral

  • Competitive & differentiation: Maintain competitive USPs and battle cards; enable the GTM teams on how we win

  • GTM narrative & enablement: Produce launch narratives and train Sales on pitch, demo storyline, pricing and objection handling

  • Roadmap prioritization: Translate market insights, customer needs, and commercial opportunities into clear product priorities

  • External voice: Present in webinars & events, as well as represent the product in customer-facing interactions

  • Demonstrated experience in B2B cybersecurity product management, product marketing, or a related go-to-market product function, ideally within a high-growth or scale-up environment.

  • Domain knowledge and practical exposure to one or more of the following areas: EDR, SIEM/SOAR, CTI/TIP, Email Security, Malware Analysis, Threat Intelligence, or Security Operations.

  • Demonstrated ability to research buyers, users, and market dynamics to identify customer needs, define target personas, and prioritize compelling use cases.

  • Proven track record of translating customer insights, market opportunities, and competitive intelligence into product strategy, roadmap recommendations, positioning, or go-to-market execution.

  • Strong customer and buyer empathy, with the ability to understand security practitioner and security leader perspectives and communicate their needs effectively across the organization.

  • Experience creating differentiated positioning, messaging, value propositions, competitive narratives, sales enablement content, and customer-facing collateral.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Partnerships.

  • Confident presenter and facilitator with experience delivering webinars, customer briefings, product demonstrations, conference presentations, or other external-facing engagements.

  • Ability to understand cybersecurity concepts, products, and buyer challenges sufficiently to communicate credibly with both technical practitioners and security decision-makers.
