Job Description

Who We Are

Industrial labor powers our world, and protecting the people who do that work is both a moral imperative and a business advantage. At Voxel, we're transforming workplace safety and operational efficiency with AI-driven computer vision that turns existing security cameras into a system for spotting hazards and high-risk activity before incidents happen.

Our site intelligence platform helps safety and operations leaders at Fortune 500 grocers, retailers, manufacturers, and logistics providers uncover root causes, reduce risk proactively, and make smarter, data-driven decisions. Based in San Francisco with team members around the globe, Voxel is backed by leading venture investors.

The Role

As a Technical Implementation Specialist, you'll be the hands-on owner of getting Voxel live at customer sites. Once a deal is signed, you take the deployment plan and make it real: connecting cameras, configuring our edge devices, working through network and security requirements with customer IT teams, and validating that everything performs as expected.

You'll partner closely with Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, and Engineering to deliver smooth, repeatable rollouts across single and multi-site environments. This role is critical to fast time-to-value for our customers and to scaling our deployment process as we grow.

What You'll Do

  • Execute end-to-end technical implementations, from kickoff and site readiness through go-live and handoff to Customer Success.

  • Configure and deploy Voxel's edge AI platform, including camera integration, device setup, and connectivity validation.

  • Work directly with customer IT, network, and security teams to complete network readiness checks, firewall and proxy configuration, and access requirements.

  • Produce technical documentation that helps customers secure internal IT and security approvals.

  • Troubleshoot deployment issues across networking, camera systems, and edge hardware, escalating toEngineering when needed.

  • Manage implementation timelines, track progress, and communicate status, risks, and next steps clearly to internal and customer stakeholders.

  • Coordinate onsite installations, including travel to customer sites for more complex deployments.

  • Contribute to and continuously improve implementation playbooks, checklists, and best practices so deployments get faster and more consistent.

  • Capture customer feedback and deployment friction and share it with Product and Engineering to improve the platform.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 3–6 years of experience in technical implementation, deployment engineering, network or systems administration, or a similar customer-facing technical role.

  • Solid working knowledge of networking and security fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, proxies, VPNs, and SSL.

  • Hands-on experience with security camera or video surveillance systems (IP cameras, NVRs/VMS, RTSP streams), or the ability to learn new camera systems quickly.

  • Experience managing multiple technical projects at once and driving them to completion on schedule.

  • Clear, confident communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.

Nice to Have

  • Experience deploying edge computing, IoT, or AI/computer vision solutions.

  • Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Background in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or other industrial environments.

  • Familiarity with workplace safety programs or EH&S practices.

  • Relevant certifications (CCNA, Network+, Security+, PMP, or similar).
