Senior HR Manager - Industrial Components Mexico
Job Description
The Senior HR Manager will lead the HR strategy for the Mexico locations within Freight & Industrial Components; inclusive of 4 manufacturing operating entities with ~400 employees and will directly manage 2 – 3 HR Managers. This role will be critical in partnering strategically with Senior Leadership, and their extended teams, to proactively identify and execute on both business priorities and driving culture change.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and expertise for the full scope of Human Resource (HR) functions, including talent management, succession planning, leading organizational change and facilitating team performance.
- Partner with the HRBP for the Freight & Industrial Components group and the HR team in Mexico, in areas of organizational talent & strategy, compensation & benefits, learning strategies, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure full respect for the rights of employees, including labor, social, contractual, and legal rights. This includes administration of both individual and collective labor agreements.
- Perform a leadership role in recruiting, selection, as well as restructuring, and reduction of the workforce as needed.
- Develop and lead strategy to ensure robust pipeline and succession plans are in place.
- Facilitate culture and communications throughout the organization; work with leaders to ensure successful implementation of change efforts.
- Be responsible for compensation plans and rewards and recognition programs that are equitable and in line with the organization’s goals.
- Provide advice, counsel, and support for the Wabtec de Mexico and WGS Mexico teams, the extended Freight & Industrial Components HR team, and others.
- Act as an impartial advocate to ensure that all individuals receive fair and equitable treatment.
- Be a champion for change and an advocate for diversity across extended organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a variety of Human Resource positions, both staff and client based.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resource leadership role.
- Previous Labor Relations experience.
- Previous HR team management experience.
- Languages: English—competent speaker, able to communicate with fluency and accuracy.
- Candidate must be willing to travel up to 10%.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Labor Relations or Business Administration.
- Employee and Union relations experience, and contract negotiations experience.
- Global HR Leadership Experience.
- Previous experience working as part of a Corporate business team providing HR strategy & direction.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to influence & engage at all levels of the business; including senior leadership.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong coaching skills.
