Job Description

About Wellis

Wellis is a fast-growing healthtech scale-up reinventing healthcare. We are building the first truly integrated health platform in the Netherlands, offering on-demand care for everyday health needs such as weight loss, hair loss, sexual health, and more — and we are now bringing it to Germany.

Our platform covers the full journey: from diagnosis and medical assessment to prescription and delivery at home. By combining medical expertise, technology, and data, we make healthcare smarter, more accessible, more personal, and easier to use.

We are growing quickly, which means we are building the structures, teams, products, and processes that will help us scale responsibly. You will join an ambitious, international team where ownership is encouraged, collaboration is key, and impact is visible from day one.

About the role

Germany is our next big bet. You'll rapidly scale Germany from a working funnel into our largest market, and build the German organisation that can carry it.

This is a brand-new role and it is mostly commercial: go-to-market, growth and expansion. You own German growth end to end. German revenue growth is the number that matters most in this role, alongside new customers, churn and customer satisfaction.

You'll start lean. Shared teams such as technology, data, marketing and care also serve the Netherlands. You'll build dedicated German roles as the volume comes. There's no ready-made team or fixed plan: you get to shape both.

You'll report directly to our CEO and bring the German view into the leadership team. Targets are set with the CEO each quarter and move with the plan: you own the numbers, not a fixed finish line.

What you'll own

  • German revenue growth. Own the German revenue plan and media budget, and scale our live German funnel quickly: channels, creative, propositions, partnerships, price points, whatever moves the number. Spend at the speed the market allows, not the speed that feels comfortable.

  • The German market. Know the German landscape better than anyone at Wellis: competitors, prices, channels, regulation and court rulings. Bring that view into the leadership team, including the moves we shouldn't make.

  • Weekly decisions and expansion. Decide every week what to double down on and what to stop, based on your own data. Choose when to add a category, channel or customer segment, and back each choice with unit economics.

  • Building the German team. Design and hire the German team as volume grows: dedicated roles where language or law requires it, Wellis' shared teams everywhere else. Keep it small and senior, hire ahead of bottlenecks, and set the standard yourself. Invest in local structures only once the numbers support it.

  • Making Germany a priority across Wellis. Get Germany onto the roadmaps of product, data, care, pharmacy and finance with a strong business case and good relationships. Turn German customer insights into concrete requirements, give the whole company a clear weekly picture of Germany, and keep German-specific exceptions only where they're worth it.

  • An AI-first way of working. Use AI in your own work every day, and build a team that automates repetitive work before adding people.

  • Trust, compliance and medical quality. Work with external legal partners and our Chief Medical Officer so every campaign is cleared before spend, and medical quality is never the price of speed. Own trust on every German touchpoint: Impressum, phone support, named German doctors and German-language quality.

Who you are

  • A track record of taking something small and making it big, fast, as a go-to-market, expansion or growth lead (this is essential). You would rather ship at 80 percent this week than at 100 percent next quarter.

  • Deep knowledge of the German market. Experience in direct-to-consumer health, e-commerce or digital healthcare is a strong plus.

  • You bring people along with numbers, energy and good relationships, and you're honest and direct: you name what's going wrong at any level and fully commit to a decision once it's made.

  • You take ownership. You treat revenue as yours, share progress before anyone asks, and solve problems rather than passing them up.

  • You have a scale-up or start-up background.

  • You are AI first when executing.

  • You are fluent in German and English.

Don't tick every box? If this role excites you and you recognise yourself in most of it, we'd still love to hear from you.

What we offer*

  • Competitive salary, depending on experience (+ 8% holiday allowance).

  • Pension plan

  • Learning budget

  • Monthly personal budget via Alleo

  • Hybrid working from our Rotterdam office, or remotely from Germany with regular days in Rotterdam.

  • 20 remote-working days per year

  • Working from home allowance

  • 25 holidays

  • A high-impact leadership role in a fast-growing healthtech company.

  • Close partnership with the CEO and the leadership team

  • A culture of short lines, speed, ownership, and continuous improvement, where pragmatism and impact matter

  • The opportunity to build the German market and team that support Wellis' next stage of growth

*please note, benefits may slightly vary if you are based outside of the Netherlands.
