Position Overview
The Chemotherapy Prep Technician Apprentice is an entry-level pharmacy technician position designed to prepare individuals for advancement into the Chemotherapy Prep Technician I role through a structured apprenticeship program. The apprentice will complete a required apprenticeship program over a specific time frame consisting of on-the-job training, competency assessments, and progressive sterile compounding responsibilities under the direct supervision of qualified pharmacists and experienced chemotherapy preparation technicians.
The apprentice is not considered fully qualified to independently prepare hazardous sterile preparations until all required competencies have been successfully completed and competency requirements for promotion have been met.
